Acres of Awareness Calendar Project
It is customary in my high school that each senior student undergo a year-long cumulative project to be centered around a basic topic of exploration, interest, and awareness. For my senior project, I am choosing to focus on raising environmental awareness in my community. Aside from local school presentations and recycled craft projects, I also attended the Harvard Model United Nations Conference in early February 2020 to further explore and discuss climate change in a mock futuristic 2050 climate accords committee, and have presented my research on climate control at the Judy Black Center Student Convention in Washington Depot, CT in March and at the Annual Garlic & Harvest Festival in Bethlehem, CT in late October.
Below are the twelve images I have drawn and crafted by hand to make a 2020 Endangered Animals Calendar with all proceeds going to the World Land Trust for the purchase of acres of land in the rainforest. Thank you to all who purchased my calendars and helped me sell out!
